Digitalisation – we are all part of it. How is it changing our world? How does it affect our lives? And how can we shape digitalisation and our digital future?
Digitalisation shapes our daily lives and creates opportunities like never before. It connects us across the globe, can simplify our lives, and foster innovation. It changes the way we live, learn, communicate, work and build friendships. At the same time, being permanently connected to the virtual world makes us increasingly dependent on digital devices. The spread of fake news alters our perception of reality and poses a serious challenge.
Digitalisation is more than just technology – it is a key to our future. Amidst the digital revolution, we should keep both opportunities and risks in mind. This way, we can shape this digital future together and explore how digitalisation can transform our lives.

Our world is very digital. What does that mean? It means we do lots of things using devices like computers, mobile phones or robots. Here are some examples: Do you sometimes have video calls with grandma and grandpa? Or do you play games on a console with your friends? Maybe you watch cartoons on a tablet. You may also have a vacuum cleaner at home that moves by itself – that’s digital, too.
What other devices do you know? When do you like using them, and when don’t you?
Show us how digital your world is. You can use pens and brushes, but if you like, you can also use a tablet, a computer or another device. Draw or paint a picture or make a collage.

Mobile phone, game console, robotic vacuum cleaner – technology and digital devices surround us everywhere. They make our lives easier in many ways. And they’re fun. They allow us to explore entirely new worlds from home. We can exercise in front of the screen, travel to other countries and times, and learn new things with apps, websites, or games. Through video, we can connect with friends or grandparents, even if they are far away.
What digital devices do you use at home or at school? What do you especially enjoy doing in the digital world? And sometimes, does it feel like too much, and you prefer to take a break from digital devices?
What makes your life digital?
Show us! You can get creative with a pen and brush or even digitally: draw a picture, create an illustration, or make a collage.

We communicate every day with smartphones, tablets, and computers, whether through messaging apps, video calls or voice messages. The internet connects us, even when we can’t meet in person. Robots and computer programs make our daily lives easier. Sometimes, algorithms know so much about us that it’s almost unsettling. And thanks to games or virtual reality headsets, we can even immerse ourselves in completely different environments that seem incredibly real.
Whether it’s social media or online worlds: is the digital world as real as the physical one? And how does what we see online influence the way we think, feel, and act?
How digital has your life become?
Show us through your creation what digitalisation means to you, whether in a positive or negative sense! You can use all artistic mediums, both analogue and digital: drawing or painting. Mixed techniques are also possible.

Are we part of the digital world, or is the digital world part of us? Robots are increasingly helping with our daily tasks, and artificial intelligences communicate with humans, play chess, translate books, and create works of art. Virtual realities are becoming more and more realistic, and sometimes algorithms know us almost better than we know ourselves. On one hand, there is the fear of becoming too dependent on screens and social media. On the other hand, new technologies can help us change the world for the better.
What do you think: what are the opportunities and risks of digitalisation?
Show us your thoughts on the topic of digitalisation! You can use all the creative tools at your disposal, whether it's drawing or painting, in analogue or digital form, or even collages.
