The credit balance insurance policy is a life insurance offering from Raiffeisen-Vie, designed to cover the outstanding amount of a personal loan in the event of death of the insured party, Raiffeisen-Vie pays off the remaining amount of your loan to the lending organisation and the debt is thus refunded. This protects loved ones from inheriting a debt when the borrower dies before paying back their loan. The premium paid out is tax deductible as a special expense under the terms of article 111 of the law on income tax (€672 per member of the household).
